From time to time
training topics that are relevant to all municipalities but are not
viable to be individual municipal efforts are coordinated by SHACOG. Two
examples are the "Roads Scholar Program" for public works officials and
judgmental firearms training for police officers. The former ten session
curriculum covered such topics as proper signs and signing, winter
maintenance and risk management. The latter was a consecutive nine day
exercise using an interactive computerized training simulator that
developed shoot/no-shoot scenarios for the police. |
